Location:
Based within the Goods In Department of the Netto Foodstores Distribution Centre located in South Elmsall, Near Pontefract in West Yorkshire.
Hours of work:
Monday to Sunday (5 from 7) 37.5 hours per week
Available to work any shift within a 24 hour working day
Main duties:
Reporting to the Goods In Team Leaders, you will be fully trained up in all areas of the role.
- To co-ordinate the tipping of pallets by supplier drivers onto the Goods In receiving area.
- To accurately count and check products using a wireless scanner input device, and to complete relevant paperwork.
- To ensure that all discrepancies are reported in the correct manner following the Company procedures.
- To ensure that the Goods In receiving area is managed in an efficient way at all times.
- To ensure that work areas are free from unwanted debris and warehouse waste is disposed of as appropriate.
- To give priority to exceeding the needs of customers, demonstrating and promoting a customer focused approach to operational activities.
- To comply with the Company Health and Safety rules and requirements at all times and take reasonable care for the Health and Safety of themselves and of others.
Applicant requirements:
The successful candidate should have the following:
- A confident communicator with excellent organisational skills.
- The ability to adapt to using varied systems.
- The ability to prioritise tasks.
- Detail orientated with the ability to follow up.
- The ability to work to a high standard at all times.
- Suitable applicants must pass numeric/literacy test.
The candidate must be fully flexible to work all shift patterns and to be able to operate in a fast moving environment.
