Netto’s unique approach to retailing has proved to be universally popular concept across very different markets.

Denmark
We opened our very first store in Copenhagen, Denmark in April 1981. Since then we’ve seen rapid growth and today Netto is the leading Danish retail chain in its field. There are currently 362 stores located across Denmark.

Germany
September 1990 saw the beginning of international expansion for Netto with the opening of our first store in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Today there are 223 Netto Foodstores stores in Germany.

Poland
Netto opened its first store in Szczecin, Poland in August 1995. Our strategy was to set up stores in the north-western parts of Poland from Szczecin to Gdansk on the Baltic coast and down through the country to Bydgoszcz, Poznan and Zelona Gora. Customer response has been amazing and now we have 83 stores across Poland.

Sweden
In May 2002 Netto opened its first store in Trelleborg, Sweden. Already, Netto have 59 stores in Sweden and plans for many more.
